SmartWatermark is a web application that processes your images directly in your browser. Your files never pass through any server — not ours, not any third party's. No image is collected, stored or transmitted. The architecture guarantees absolute isolation. A compromise of our servers would not result in any leak of your images, as they have never passed through them.
Data collected during payment: when you purchase the Pro license, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. (https://stripe.com). Stripe collects the information required for the transaction (email, payment card details) in accordance with its own privacy policy. Tajalys Inc. does not store any banking data. In addition to Stripe for payment, your email address and license status are stored securely through our backend infrastructure provider, Supabase. Data is encrypted at rest and subject to SOC2 and ISO 27001 standards.
Cookie policy: the public website and the application do not use any tracking, targeting or advertising cookies. Audience measurement is strictly anonymous and aggregated server-side, eliminating the need to obtain prior consent.
Local storage: the application uses IndexedDB and localStorage (technologies built into your browser) to save your preferences and license locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
Managing your data: data management is entirely self-serve. You can view, edit or delete your billing information and account directly through the Stripe Customer Portal integrated into the application. Deletion results in immediate revocation of the license.
Your rights: under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Law 25 and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. To exercise these rights beyond self-serve, contact us at contact@smartwatermark.app. We respond within 30 days.
International transfers: payment data processed by Stripe and license data hosted by Supabase may be stored in the United States. Stripe is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Supabase is compliant with SOC2 Type II standards.
Minors: SmartWatermark is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes: we reserve the right to modify this policy. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
